Patronal Feast Day at the Parish of the Icon of the Mother of God "Life-Giving Spring" in Liège.

On April 17, 2026, the Parish of the Icon of the Mother of God "Life-Giving Spring" in Liège held its patronal feast day, bringing together clergy and parishioners.

The festive service was led by Archbishop Simon of Brussels and Belgium. His Eminence was assisted by Archpriest Alexander Kuryatkin and Deacon Vladimir Shitikov.

Following the service, parishioners were able to venerate the relics of St. Seraphim of Sarov, which His Eminence had brought especially for the patronal feast day.

During his sermon, Archbishop Simon noted that Archpriest Alexander Kuryatkin was ordained a deacon 34 years ago, in April 1992, during the Divine Liturgy on the feast of the Lord's Entry into Jerusalem at St. Nicholas Cathedral in Brussels. His Eminence also presented the icon of the Mother of God "Life-Giving Spring" to the parish.

The church celebration concluded with a communal meal.
