The faculty of the Russian School at Holy Trinity Church in Brussels made a pilgrimage to the Skete of All Saints Who Shone Forth in the Russian Land in Mourmelon.
With the blessing of Archbishop Simon of Brussels and Belgium, the teachers of the Russian School visited the Russian Skete in Mourmelon, France, to mark the end of the academic year. At their request, the Skete's resident, Schema-Hieromonk Ambrose, celebrated a thanksgiving service to mark the end of the academic year. A litiya was also held at the memorial cemetery there, where a thousand soldiers of the Russian Expeditionary Force are buried. On June 22, the commemoration of the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the teachers prayed for the soldiers killed in the fields of Champagne. A meal followed. Upon returning to Belgium, the group visited the ancient basilica in Reims, where the teachers venerated the relics of Saint Remigius, the Enlightener of the Franks. They also visited the cathedrals in Reims and Laon.
